The 12th @ Augusta National - Golden Bell

The 12th Hole at Augusta National, quickly drawn and painted in 15 minutes (and of course, incorrectly labelled)...

sitting in the middle of a three hole stretch known as 'amen corner', 'Golden bell' is an iconic hole designed to force players to play to a shallow green over water. What should be a simple hole - 155 yard par 3 - the 12th yields very few birdies due to the addition of 'Rae's Creek'.

this hole has provided it's fair share of memorable moments, including A quadruple bogey in 2016 for jordan spieth (opening the door for Britain's Danny Willett to win - pocketing me a few hundred quid in the process), and fred couples defying gravity in 1992.

watching the US masters usually provides me with the impetus to get out on the course, and I'm looking forward to seeing the 12th cause havoc again in a couple of months.

PS. I'll have a fiver on Lee Westwood please bookie!!

  1. Nice drawing. Your marks look very oriental, like Chinese or Japanese calligraphy.
